My name is Alex Sanchez, Master Barber and owner of Kings Parlour barbershop. I have had a passion for cutting hair since I was 12 years old, where I would practice on my friends and family. My passion led me to Rapheal’s Barber Academy, where I graduated with my Master Barber license in 2013. Upon graduating, I began cutting hair at Excalibur Barber Grooming Lounge, where I worked for 8.5 years of my career. I received my cosmetic tattoo license in Florida to begin offering scalp micropigmentation services to clients in the Summer of 2021. I value the ongoing and developing relationships I have with all clients and enjoy giving my clients the confidence they deserve.
Hi, my name is Paul Sanchez, Master Barber at Kings Parlour. Cutting hair has become a huge passion of mine, but has not always been. Growing up I considered myself a talented artist that loved to draw and do graffiti, which made the transition to barbering much easier. Raised in Youngstown, Ohio, I moved to Las Vegas after high school. It wasn't until 10 years later that I decided to move back home and go to Raphael's Barber Academy in 2018 to join my brother in the barbering industry. Becoming a barber was one of the greatest achievements I have made and my goal is to make sure everyone that sits in my chair leaves satisfied with the services they receive.
Hi everyone! My name is Luis Carrasquillo. I have been cutting hair for 24 years, professionally 9. I graduated barber school from Raphael’s Barber Academy in 2014. I am a barber today because of my mother. She gave my brother and I a pair of clippers at the age of 12 and told us to learn how to cut each other’s hair. I will forever be thankful for that day, because it has brought me to where I am now. I enjoy being in the barber industry because it has helped me in every aspect of my life and has made me a better person. My goal as a barber is to continue making my clients feel comfortable and satisfied with every service they receive while they are in my chair!
Hi everyone! My name is Antonio DeFrank, Master Barber at Kings Parlour. Growing up I always had an interest in cutting hair and always enjoyed getting my hair cut. I often wondered how I could come into a babershop and leave looking and feeling so much better shortly after. After watching many videos throughout high school and gaining more interest, I enrolled into Raphaels barber school program upon graduating from Austintown Fitch highschool in 2017. With a typical young high school mindset, I wasn’t as focused or committed as I should have been and gave up. I worked many jobs in the meantime, not finding happiness in any of them. It seemed as if i was searching for my purpose. During those years of working many jobs, I ended up finding Jesus Christ and developing a personal relationship with Him. Because of His guidance, I decided to attend barber school again in 2021 and finish what I already started, where I became a licensed Master Barber in 2022. It was one of my greatest accomplishments! My goal as a barber is to not only help someone achieve the desired look they are going for before leaving my chair, but to show them the love of Christ while doing so.
Hi everyone! My name is Mason Planey, Master Barber at Kings Parlour. Throughout my life, I have been involved in the hair industry, with my mom being a cosmetologist since the age of 13 and my great grandfather owning a beauty school in the Youngstown/Boardman area, called “Victor George Beauty Academy”. Fun fact! My great great grand father’s nickname was “Barber” because he was the town barber of Campbell. I guess cutting hair is just in my blood. Being a barber was always something I thought about doing after high school, but I wasn’t very certain about it. When Covid-19 came around, and my dad, brothers, and friends needed hair cuts, I decided to try cutting their hair. It was then when I realized I instantly fell in love with the trade. In September of 2021 just after graduating high school, I went to Akron Barber College to become a Master Barber. Every day I focus on perfecting my craft. I love having conversations and meeting new people and I value every relationship I have with all who sit in my chair. My goal is to make sure you leave my chair and the barber shop feeling like a King!
My name is Jamie Decembly and I have been a licensed professional barber since October 12th, 2009. I have always had a passion for barbering growing up. The atmosphere of the barbershop was one of the things I admired most, just seeing men getting to be themselves and conversing with one another. The impact of 30 minutes to an hour of providing a service to people in our community is an honor! You never know what someone may be going through and sometimes a simple conversation or just a listening ear can help that person, and I strive to have that relationship with my clients and all who sit in my chair. I pray that as long as I continue barbering, I continue to be a blessing to the ones I service and that I continue creating great relationships. Thank you for your support!
My name is Edwin Bonilla. I graduated from Raphael’s Barber Academy in 2013 and have been proudly servicing the community as a licensed professional barber since. Since I was a child and got my first haircut, I have had a love for barbering. A local barber, Cosmo, from the Eastside of Youngstown continued to inspire me to follow my dreams of becoming a barber after seeing his talent and professionalism. Another local barber, Carlos, showed me the business aspect of barbering and encouraged me to get my barber license and I am forever grateful to have listened. There are many barbers I have met along my path and I am thankful for how each of them contributed to my growth and motivation as a barber. I met Alex (owner of Kings Parlour) before we both attended Raphaels barber school, where we got to chase our dreams together. I love working with different cultures in our community and helping men feel good about themselves. It has been such an honor to be a part of this amazing team of barbers at Kings Parlour! Thank you to all who continue to support me in my career.
